1. Before you start
To ensure a smooth setup, check the following:
Your iPhone must support eSIM technology. All models from the iPhone XR onwards are compatible, though this may vary depending on your device's region of origin.
Your iPhone must be carrier-unlocked to add a third-party eSIM.
You need a stable Wi-Fi connection to download the eSIM profile.
Have your QR code, manual details, or the Holafly App ready for installation.
2. Choose your Installation Method
There are four ways to add an eSIM to your iPhone. Pick the one that is most convenient for you and follow the steps:
A. Direct Install through purchase confirmation email
If you have iOS 17.4 or later, you can install directly from your purchase email without scanning a code. Follow this quick guide to add your eSIM:
B. QR Code
Ideal if you have the QR code displayed on another device. Note: Do not scan it with your iPhone’s camera app. Follow this video to scan it correctly through your Cellular settings:
C. Manual Installation
Use this method if you cannot scan an eSIM QR code. You will need the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code found in the confirmation email you received with your eSIM. Follow this video to copy and paste your details correctly:
